I like the idea that you are going for a lot, but the first thing I noticed with your picture is that I didn't actually notice anything different at all. Then after looking at it for a bit, I finally realized the trash on the ocean floor. Now if that's what you're going for, where the viewer has to search to find what's going on, then I think you nailed it. But on the other hand, if that wasn't really your idea, then I think it isn't as dramatic as it could be. If you want a more drastic difference, then maybe the trash could be the shoreline as well? One thing I've noticed is your technical skill with photoshop is really good. It's very clean and really does look almost like the trash belongs. I wish I had more ideas on where you are going with this, but I am excited to see what you come up with. I especially like where you are going with this one, with the crystal clear waters being polluted by the masses of pollution.
I like the idea of adding pollution to picturesque landscapes. Is that the picture you are going to use, or did you add something to it? I feel like I see something but I don’t know if I’m imagining it or not. Maybe try to make the trash more prominent in the picture. Also, think about whether or not you are going to just add trash on a beach, or completely change the image into what the beach would look like dying from pollution.
I think this is a great idea. I like the thought of crossing and contrasting something beautiful with something horrible. The worst possible thing that can happen to a beautiful beach is to have it covered in trash, and I believe this will create some interesting imagery. Though I do agree with Emily on this part, were it took me a while to figure out what was wrong with the image. When skimming through it, it seemed quite normal to me, and when I did figure out what was wrongI was pleasantly surprised. What I suggest you should do is make your idea more obvious. You could possibly have the image change gradually from the beautiful landscape to this horrid sick garage filled beach (Maybe have it change from day to night).
