Environment Project- Emily

This is my (basically) finished project. I couldn't really decide if I liked my video the normal way with the actual colors or with all of the colors inverted, making the daner and her shadow look definitely more bizarre. I'm putting both up here for viewing. Ideally I wanted to project one or both of these videos on the brickpit last night and then record it so you guys could see what it looked like, but the weather and technology was not permitting so for now all I have is this video. Before the end of the semester I hope to make the final work and project my video somewhere on campus and record it to put on the blog- or heck maybe even some of you guys can come watch the actual video being projected while I'm recording it, to get the full effect.

The Normal Video

The Inverted Video

  1. I'm really interested in the final product, I'm excited that you want to do this on such a large scale. I also like your interpretation of space and landscapes and how we interact with it. I think there will be alot happening within this piece so I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes together. I think your obstacles at this point are just executing the projection itself, as i'm sure you've considered.

  2. i think your process is really interesting and sounds like it will be cool. I'm wondering why the brick pit? why a dancer? how do these relate to this specific song? (maybe i wold understand more if I listen to the song?) I'm sure you have reasons.. I just want to know what they are.
